Writer's Training

Writing is like any other physical activity; the more you do it, the better you become. The old adage of "Practice makes perfect" applies.

Kristin Lamb, author of We Are Not Alone-The Guide to Social Media and Are You There, Blog? It's Me, Writer, has an excellent article on how to train to become a writer. Yes, train.

He gave his stand-ins simple names (Jake Barnes, Nick Baker, Fred Henry) to make up for his more grandiose one. “Ernest” is honest, and “Hemingway” sounds like a back road out of some godforsaken war zone.

I am in agreement with you that "Practice makes perfect". It is an inspirational sentence. As a student, I should follow these words as you described in the post. By the way, I think people should follow all the words as described in this post. Thank you so much and keep posting things like this.
